The Pallet Verifier will ensure all the products
on your pallet are what they should be, by using the WorkAbout Scanner to
verify all the package bar code labels. It works very simply. Communication
with other computers is unnecessary.
First, you scan a reference bar code label on a correct package, or a bar coded
sheet. Then scan all the other packages on the pallet. If the bar code matches
the reference bar code, then you'll see a "matching" message on the
WorkAbout's screen and hear a "good" tone. If the bar code doesn't
match the reference, then you'll see a "mismatch" message, and hear a
"bad" tone.
You can scan a new reference bar code for each new pallet, or new section of
the same pallet. Of course, if any bar code won't scan, then you can key it in
on the WorkAbout keyboard.
In addition, the NTS Pallet Verifier will allow you to specify which part of
the bar code to compare in the set up feature. This is useful if you don't want
to compare the whole bar code.
With the Pallet Verifier a company will enjoy many benefits including:
- Improving customer satisfaction by minimizing
shipping errors
- Saving money on returns
- Not mistakenly shipping needed short supply
products.
- Verifying product bar codes are readable

entry tool available! The JV Inventory Manager is an economical way to capture
assets or entire product line by physical location. JV Inventory Manager allows
users to scan an inventory item and enter the quantity using state-of-the-art
technology.
It also lets users know who collected the data and what time it was taken. All
the data can then be transferred to a PC for processing.
The uploaded data, once transferred to the PC, can be managed by a spreadsheet like Excel or database like Access, or you might consider the JV Worksheet program designed to be a nice, simple, affordable, integrated complement to the JV Inventory Manager.
With the JV Worksheet the user can add the uploaded data to the database, subtract it from the database, or compare it to the database. It also provides for a historical record of all adjustments.

WHarehouse
Operations Order Picking
and Inventory
WHOOPI is a Host independent, hand held computer
based, software program for use in a warehouse environment to pick and verify
orders, as well as take physical inventory.
WHOOPI implements a pre-defined ASCII file exchange interface, suitable for use
with any Host accounting or operations platform. Order files will be expected
from the Host in this format. Some Host programming will most likely be
necessary to export the order files, and import the "as-picked" and
inventory files.
Orders are downloaded from the Host computer to the hand held computer. The
order picker is prompted to pick each item and verify it by scanning the proper
bar code, or keying the product information into the hand held. When the picker
finishes an order, WHOOPI will check it for completeness.
When the picker is ready, before or after finishing all the orders, they upload
the "as-picked" order files to the Host computer. The Host may
download any new orders, then process any product substitutions or back orders
found in the uploaded files.
In addition to the downloaded orders, the picker may also enter a last minute
order directly on the hand held computer. The Host will recognize the new
order, and create a corresponding invoice.
Optionally, the "as-picked" order data may be printed on an attached
printer. This slip is then dropped in or attached to the box being packed for
use by the shipping station.
Periodically, WHOOPI can be used to take physical inventory by scanning or
keying warehouse locations and products. The resulting inventory file is
uploaded to the Host.
With WHOOPI a company will enjoy many benefits including:
- Improving customer satisfaction by minimizing
shipping errors
- Saving money on returns
- Saving money by reducing the data entry of
edited pick slips
- Increasing the speed of order picking, and
therefore shipments per day
- Saving money on paper forms
- Verifying product bar codes are
readable
- Reducing time to take inventory
- Saving money by reducing the data entry of
paper based inventory
- Improving customer satisfaction by minimizing
erroneous shorts
