Environmental cases were designed to obtain an IP54 rating, rare in the field of portable printing. IP54 certification was added for additional protection against high moisture and dust. IP54 supplements the existing IEC 68 certification, which certifies operating and storage temperature, humidity, shock, vibration, and drop to concrete.
